Wrench Group was formed as a home-services platform to consolidate HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies across the United States. The company entered the Tampa Bay market in 2019 with the acquisition of Cool Today, followed by Easy A/C in 2020 and Red Cap Plumbing & Air in 2021.

Strikepoint Group Holdings, formerly known as Horizon Group Holdings, has aggressively expanded in Florida's home-services market. SGH entered the Tampa Bay market in 2021 with Level Home Services and Performance AC, followed by Pinellas Comfort Systems, IERNA's, and Paradise Air in 2021-2022.

Del-Air was founded in 1983 and grew to become one of Florida's largest residential HVAC companies. In November 2022, Astara Capital Partners completed a majority investment, transforming Del-Air into a PE-backed acquisition platform. Since then, Del-Air has acquired Simpson Air (2023) and Gator Air Conditioning (2025).

LTP Home Services Group is a PE-backed platform focused on acquiring and growing residential home-services companies. The acquisition of Acree Plumbing, Air & Electric in February 2023 marked LTP's entry into the Tampa Bay market. LTP has since rebranded as The Master Trades Group.

Apex Service Partners was launched in 2019 by Alpine Investors with the acquisition of Frank Gay Services in Orlando. It has since grown to become one of the largest PE-backed home-services platforms in the country, with a $3.4 billion valuation as of October 2023. Mechanical One and Frank Gay Services serve the Tampa Bay area.

IES Holdings entered the Florida residential services market in December 2020 with the acquisition of Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. IES is a publicly-traded company on NASDAQ.

Southeast Mechanical is a Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based HVAC, plumbing, and electrical platform. SEM entered the Tampa Bay market in June 2024 with the acquisition of Climate Design Home Services in Clearwater.

P1 Service Group is a Chicago-based home-services platform that expanded into the Tampa Bay market in 2024 with the acquisition of Cornerstone Pros in Land O' Lakes. P1 was reportedly near a $325 million merger with Columbia Home Services in 2025.

Southern Home Services (formerly Southern HVAC) was formed as a regional home-services platform. The company acquired FAST of Florida and Patrick's Heating & AC in August 2017, making it one of the earliest PE-backed platforms in the Tampa Bay area. Gryphon Investors completed a majority investment in October 2021.

Southeastern Home Services was formed in 2022 with the backing of WhitneyWilder. The platform's first acquisition was Mario's Air Conditioning & Heating in Tampa Bay in May 2022. The company has since expanded across the Southeast.

BGIS acquired Millian-Aire Enterprises in April 2022, expanding into the residential HVAC market in the Tampa Bay area. BGIS primarily operates in the commercial facilities management space but has expanded into residential services.
