Orkin buys eight Hulett branches including Tampa Bay and Sarasota
What happened. Rollins subsidiary Orkin acquired eight north and central Florida branches from Hulett Environmental Services, including Tampa Bay and Sarasota, along with Orlando, Oviedo, Daytona Beach, Lake County, Melbourne and Kissimmee. The branches produced more than $8 million in annual revenue and the price was not disclosed. Hulett, founded in 1968, kept its South Florida operations; owner Tim Hulett said the sale let him focus on growing that business. Orkin said the acquired branches would move to Orkin branding over a period comfortable for customers and employees.
