Sarasota's Badger Bob's Services acquires Venice-based Allied Cooling & Heating

What happened. Badger Bob's Services, a Sarasota HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance company owned by Bob Burg and in business locally for more than 30 years, acquired Venice-based Allied Cooling & Heating LLC from owner Troy Thomas. All Allied employees were retained and Thomas stayed on doing field work and advising. Badger Bob's general manager Rich Kesteloot said the Allied team 'has earned a reputation for quality service and fits the Badger Bob's culture of hard work, integrity and commitment.' Allied had served the Venice area for about ten years. Terms were not disclosed. This is the clearest example in the window of a locally owned Tampa Bay contractor acting as consolidator rather than seller.
