Astara-backed Del-Air acquires Tampa's Simpson Air

What happened. Del-Air, majority-owned by Astara Capital Partners, acquired Simpson Air, a Tampa air conditioning and heating company founded in 1999 and marketed as 'The Coolest Guys,' serving Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Hernando, Manatee and Sarasota counties. CEO Rick Rogers said the combination was 'about elevating the new construction and home service experience.' Paige Simpson called it 'an evolution in our customer and employee-focused journey,' and Astara's Chad Barton, Del-Air's board chairman, also commented. Simpson Air kept its identity while gaining access to Del-Air's plumbing, electrical and air-quality lines. Terms were not disclosed.
