Sundream buys Sarasota's Greater Bay Plumbing as founder retires

What happened. Dan Tulchin, CEO of Sundream (operating under Hey Brother Industries), acquired Greater Bay Plumbing of Sarasota from retiring founder Jeff Sarmiento. Sarmiento said he engaged Viking Mergers & Acquisitions at the end of June 2024 because he 'had full faith in Viking's ability to successfully sell my business and identify the perfect buyer.' Viking's Jacob Middleton said the focus was 'finding a buyer who shared Jeff's values and vision.' At the time Tulchin's portfolio comprised about ten HVAC and plumbing companies across Florida; Sundream still lists Greater Bay Plumbing under its own name. Terms were not disclosed.
