Roofing Corp of America buys Lakeland's Springer-Peterson Roofing & Sheet Metal
What happened. Roofing Corp of America acquired Springer-Peterson Roofing & Sheet Metal, the Lakeland commercial and residential roofing and sheet metal contractor founded in 1981 by Don Springer and Brooke Peterson. It was RCA's 15th platform company and will operate as a stand-alone entity alongside RCA's other Florida brands — Crowther Roofing & Cooling, Hamilton Roofing and Dynamic National. Chairman Rob Springer framed it as a succession decision: 'When I finally arrived at the difficult decision to sell our multi-generation family business, Roofing Corp of America was the obvious choice.' Terms were not disclosed.
