What changed after the sale

Wrench Group's own announcement stated Easy A/C's operations would be combined with CoolToday (Wrench's Sarasota brand, acquired April 2019) and rebranded 'Easy CoolToday' - an explicit brand change rather than brand retention. The Easy A/C name has since been retired in favor of CoolToday in the Tampa-St. Petersburg market.

Who really profits

Money paid to Easy A/C now flows to Wrench Group (Sarasota, FL), and from there to its investors — Leonard Green & Partners, TSG Consumer Partners, Oak Hill Capital, Investcorp, Alpine Investors — whose funds are ultimately owed returns by their limited partners.
